My name is Jen Rogers and I am a Mixed Media Artist.

​

​Art has always felt like a calling for me, a way to uplift, connect, and inspire. I’ve spent most of my life exploring different mediums—starting with oils in my younger years, then expanding to acrylics, watercolors, and eventually, mixed-media collages.

 

My current work blends abstract impressionism with layered textures and vibrant colors.  My work ranges from vibrant paintings on stretched canvas  and small works on paper to rich textual collages on both stretched and wood canvases.  Each of my collage piece begins as an original abstract painting, carefully crafted into a collage on wood  or stretched canvases, and finished with either an archival varnish or a glossy resin coating to highlight its vibrancy and add depth.  

 

Living in the beautiful lakeside community of Honeoye, NY, with my fun loving family and our two dogs, Oliver and Charlie,  I am able to draw inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding me.  I’m a mom of seven children.  Our youngest, is from Ukraine. My husband, Doug, has been supporting me through every challenge and success.​​

Two years ago, we experienced an unimaginable loss—our oldest son, Jacob, passed away unexpectedly. His incredible spirit continues to inspire me every day, and it’s a privilege to honor him through my work.  Jacob always went for his dreams and inspired people with his positive attitude and infectious laugh.  ​

 

The past few years have been a whirlwind. In addition to navigating personal challenges, I’ve devoted much of my time to supporting Ukrainian orphans. When the war began in Ukraine, my family and I committed to making a difference however we could. This led to countless trips to Poland, where we’ve organized art camps designed to build confidence and self-esteem among these children.​

This journey has shaped me in ways I never expected. It’s shown me the resilience of love and the importance of doing what we can to help others. These experiences—and my belief in the beauty and goodness in the world—deeply influence my art.​

 

Through my work, I aim to capture joy, connection, and hope. Using rich colors, bold textures, and often a touch of sparkle, I create pieces designed to inspire and bring happiness to your space.
